Behind the Mask

They call me a sociopath. They call me crazy. Well, I must be crazy because I feel like I am one of the sane ones, and we are at a minority. Humanity as a species is insane. Our habits neither explainable, nor excusable. People often ask me what is wrong, and I have never been able to answer them until now. I couldn't answer before because nothing was wrong, but nothing was right either. I was empty inside. I live an entirely different life in my head. I put on this mask to hide myself from the world, because I know they wouldn't like what they see. Now that I know what I am, I am not ashamed of myself. I like it when people are left with an uneasy feeling in my presence. I feed on it. I consider getting help to have someone attempt averting my darker thoughts, but the struggle within is half of the fun.
